Olive Oil
Olive oil has been known by Mediterranean woman for centuries to be soothing, healing and mild. It is high in anti-oxidants and helps to keep your skin hydrated and wrinkle free. This is why we chose Olive oil to be the main ingredient in our handmade soaps. It makes our soaps long lasting, and helps in the production of a rich creamy lather to moisturise and nourish the skin.
Coconut oil
Has long been recognised as a superior skin moisturizer. It creates a protective layer on the skin that retains the skin's moisture. Coconut oil is a heavy, stable, emollient oil.
Palm oil (sustainable certified)
Is rich in many vitamins and nutrients that are essential for maintaining healthy skin. The skin's ability to absorb everything that is put on it makes Palm Oil a natural choice for moisturising. Is a natural antibacterial that aids in the prevention of acne and the protection of skin cuts and scrapes.
Shea Butter
Is an excellent skin emollient and ideal for dry skin. Shea butter is widely used in natural cosmetics as a superior skin moisturiser. Combats the effects of sun and ageing. It protects against drying, accelerates healing and nourishes, soothes, comforts and protects.
Aloe Vera Flourishes in warm and dry climates, staying moist where other plants wither and die by closing its pores to prevent moisture loss. Aloe Vera has been used externally to treat various skin conditions such as cuts, burns, and eczema. It is used in natural skin care to help relieve irritation and inflammation of the skin, for its wound healing properties and its toning effects. Aloe Vera leaf juice is known to be useful for dry skin conditions, especially eczema around the eyes and sensitive facial skin
Vitamin 'E' Is known as a powerful antioxidant to fight free radicals and for proper immune system function as well as healthy skin and eyes. Vitamin E oil is acknowledged for its moisturising, healing and skin renewal properties. This is one of the reasons why alpha tocopherol, is often used as one of the main ingredients in skin ointments and in many dermatological products such as skin oils, body lotions and shaving creams.
Honey (Organic) Has a very high content of natural minerals, amino acids and vitamins which help in keeping skin healthy, soft and supple. It also contains natural skin antioxidants and has long lasting deep moisturising benefits. In traditional medicine, honey is applied to the skin to prevent infection and heal wounds. Some researchers attribute this effect to nutrients found in honey that promote skin growth and to the antibacterial substances present in honey.
