Olive Oil -
Olive oil has been known by Mediterranean woman for centuries to be soothing, healing and mild. It is high in anti-oxidants and helps to keep your skin hydrated and wrinkle free. This is why we chose Olive oil to be the main ingredient in our handmade soaps. It makes our soaps long lasting, and helps in the production of a rich creamy lather to moisturise and nourish the skin.
Coconut oil
Has long been recognised as a superior skin moisturizer. It creates a protective layer on the skin that retains the skin's moisture. Coconut oil is a heavy, stable, emollient oil.
Palm oil (sustainable certified)
Is rich in many vitamins and nutrients that are essential for maintaining healthy skin. The skin's ability to absorb everything that is put on it makes Palm Oil a natural choice for moisturising. Is a natural antibacterial that aids in the prevention of acne and the protection of skin cuts and scrapes.
Shea Butter
Is an excellent skin emollient and ideal for dry skin. Shea butter is widely used in natural cosmetics as a superior skin moisturiser. Combats the effects of sun and ageing. It protects against drying, accelerates healing and nourishes, soothes, comforts and protects.
Castor Oil
Castor oil has a very high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids which is thought to be responsible for its remarkable skin caring qualities. Its high fat content is absorbed by the skin very slowly; this quality also helps draw dirt to itself. It helps to make our soap very moisturising. Ricinoleic acid is the main component of castor oil and its anti-inflammatory qualities are well known in the treatment of skin inflammation, abrasions, itching, fungal-infections and acne.
